After repeatedly vacationing Colorado, the mountains began to call us. So we put our ranch in Nebraska up for sale, and hoped for the best. In February 2007, we sold our 400 acre cattle ranch, quit our jobs, said good-bye to friends and family, and bought Mt Princeton RV Park and moved to Buena Vista, CO. We are looking forward to our fifth summer here.
As a family we enjoy 4-wheeling, jeeping, hiking, and camping and are members of Faith Lutheran Church.
We have 3 sons: Luke, Gus, and Ty, (the more letters in their name the older the son!) Luke is 19, is in his second year at the Colorado School of Mines, majoring in engineering. He is an Eagle Scout and enjoys rock climbing in his spare time. Gus is 16! Just got his driver's license. He is in 11th grade and is also an Eagle Scout. He lives to ride his dirt bike and is a gearhead at heart. Ty, is 13, and is in 8th grade this school year, just earned his Star Rank in Boy Scouts. He enjoys football, trail riding, and taking care of dogs and cats. (He has a pet sitting service here at the park.) You will see all our sons helping out around the campground.
Our dog, Yogi, is a 5 year old chocolate lab, who loves people. Have a doggie treat? He knows all kinds of tricks!
Jeff likes hunting (rifle, muzzleloader, archery) and spends as much time in the mountains as possible tracking elk, deer, etc., whatever the season. He also likes metal fabrication and welding and makes wonderful wall hangings, trivets, Christmas ornaments, etc with his plasma cutter. Some of his art work is on display in the office.
Cindy enjoys tatting, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, embroidering, lace making, quilting, embroidering, huck weaving, demonstrating her spinning wheel, and any other crafting project that comes along.
We are looking forward to meeting you in person!
